Referrals means two things to us here at Westside Med. Of course, we know all about your insurance company and whatever they require for you to see a specialist. We are fully computerized and easily can do many of these over the phone (as long as you are a regular patient and there are no questions as to whom you should see)
But we're more than just pushers of referral paper. With more than 10 years each in private practice, Dr. Rein and Dr. Breite have an extensive Rolodex of some of the best specialists in New York for almost every condition. We can help diagnose your problem, and help you avoid seeing specialist after specialist looking for "the right one." As expert generalists, we can help you focus down your problem and get you to the right person, if necessary. If you know who you are going to see, make an appointment with them first, get their provider ID for you health plan, and then call us. PLEASE give us 48 hours advance notice...you know those insurance companies!
