Dr. Ira Breite is a board certified gastroenterologist and a clinical assistant professor at the NYU-Langone Medical Center as well as an attending physician at NYU's Tisch Hospital. He performs colonoscopy and endoscopy in the office or the hospital. He provides consultations of a broad range of issues in gastroenterology including:
Intestinal bleeding
Heartburn or GERD
Abdominal pain
Irritable bowel syndrome
Crohn's Disease
Ulcerative Colitis
Familial colon polyp syndromes
Ulcers
If a procedure is needed, Dr. Breite will perform them with the utmost care and concern for your comfort and safety. Office exams are performed with the assistance of anesthesiologist, who will give appropriate, short acting sedation and help to ensure and safe and comfortable procedure. Our East Side office facility is JCAHO certified (the same group that certifies hospital safety!)
